Meet The Team
ELDERS
Stuart Shackelton: PastorStuart “Shacky” Shackleton has been the pastor of this church for the past 15 years. Pastor Shacky is a gifted preacher and teacher. He has a desire to see our church grow in reaching and supporting families, children and youth in the ways of Jesus. Our pastor is approachable, fun-loving and hospitable.
Martin Durham: ElderMartin has been in local church leadership for over 20 years and, having left a banking career in 2001, has for the last 17 years been leading the gospel ministry known as Kerygma180.

Jeremy Geake: ElderJeremy has attended South Hanwell Church for many years and started following Jesus in his teens, after experiencing clear assurance from God that, as a follower of Jesus, he was part of God’s family. Over the years he has led or helped run various initiatives at church including youth work and more recently, stuff for men.

DEACONS
Rachel Durham: DeaconRachel has been a part of the family at South Hanwell for many years and has been involved in many areas of church life. She is currently on the Lighthouse (Sunday school) leadership team. Rachel teaches and works in a local pre school nursery.
Latoya Williams: DeaconLatoya has been a member of South Hanwell Baptist Church for 10 years. She works locally, enjoys spending time with her family and loves to bake. She trusts in and loves the Lord Jesus and believes that right (bible) teaching leads to right living.
Sarah Browne: Church SecretarySarah is a lifetime member of this church and has served with children and young people since she was one herself. She currently runs W7kids for primary school-aged children. A teacher at a local school, Sarah has responsibility for safe-guarding as well as overseeing the audio/ visual set up.

Gareth Hides: Worship LeaderGareth is passionate about enabling others to worship Jesus and sharing the gospel with those who don’t yet know Christ. He serves both the church and works full-time with local ministry, K180, in music and evangelism.
Amir Arian: DeaconAmir grew up in a Muslim religious family. While at University in Iran he committed his life to Jesus. He is the founder and CEO of Hamsayeh International, an organisation that serves Iranians and Afghan communities in the UK and beyond.

TREASURER
Rick Poster: Treasurer
Rick has been at South Hanwell since he decided to follow Jesus as a teenager. As treasurer he oversees South Hanwell’s financial affairs and accounting practices. He co-leads a midweek life group and helps out on the sound desk.
